I thought of you @Mannsetweets when I took this picture

Loved how the BSE sign was so prominent and the play of blue and yellow..

A Glimpse of my ancestral home..

Mumbay (I like to call it that.. :) , always has a strange but stark images that touch my heart..

dance

Absolutely brilliant smile and equally piercing eyes, I kept seeing a painful story in her eyes.

While she danced effortlessly, here are some moments that captured my heart!

In that amazing rani pink dazzling dress and captivating moves she managed to hook everyone to her dance.

I love the way the fabric flows with her body.

This is a shot I managed to get before he started posing for the camera. These were my efforts to capture the light on his adorable face

Like all other Rajasthani themed restaurant there was a puppet show and the absolutely brilliant food. The daal baati had never tasted so good, the ker saangri had a strange but a surprise flavour that made my taste buds go crazy. We finished the meal with the traditional kansaar.

Coming up some pictures from the Vadodara Marathon.

cravings

A lovely afternoon spent with one of my most precious people – Parishi. I love you for what you are and how you have always been around to appreciate and enhance my madness.

A lovely cup of chai, with the smell of french press coffee and a lovely think crust pizza. Not to forget the unending things to talk about and remember!

Fly

A little wish from every terrace went up in the air on Uttarayan.

Every year on Uttarayan, terraces are filled with stories. But the most interesting part is when you start enjoying what is happening on the neighbour’s terrace. :) This bunch of people did a skype chat with someone and showed him the skies and ended the day with this beautiful lantern.

Clear

Nothing has ever been so crystal clear in life.

Absolutely fell in love with this shot from Pangong Lake, Leh.  While we were driving to the lake, I kept thinking of myself that the sky has never looked more beautiful. Once we reached the lake, I wondered to myself if there was anything more pure than this crystal clear water.

It was a trip filled with introspection, realisation and discovery of the self and the world that seems to reside inside the heart.

 EK chuski pyaar ki,
 Ek Chuski zindagi ki

One lonely evening spent at the Sarkhej Roza,
I found this little girl enjoying the ice-gola.
I observed for more than 15 minutes.
She was lost in her own world of dreams.
So the cost of happiness and finding a
moment to get lost in memories was quite
cheap or probably did not cost much at all.

of love, courage and risk

(Picture taken from a Terrace Restaurant, LEH)

This day I dedicate to love, courage and endless efforts to keep love and myself alive. To a conversation that gave closure to many dreams, hopes and a happy ending to story that for the world has ended but for me is like the backdrop of my life!

I am a woman…

picture-318I am shy,
I am confident,
I care,
But not when I love,
I miss everything I had yesterday,
I dream of tomorrow with all of that,
I smile for I see a reflection of me,
I cry because I can’t be you,
I fight for what is your’s,
more than I would fight for what belong’s to me.
I am possesive
I am jealous
I am passionate
I am a W O M A N

of a shot

Of memories

Of laughter
Of a tear
Out of fear
Of a smiles
Of a shot
Of a star
That was caught
Of a place
In my heart
Of a question
Unanswered
Of stories
That began
Of conversation
In ur head

Uttarayan!

dsc05303

(Two women enjoying the kites in the sky on Uttarayan – Walled City, Ahmedabad)

Uttarayan is celebrated differently by various groups within India. The festival is observed on January the 14th. Uttrayan is the name given to this day because it is when the sun starts moving towards the uttar or north. It is a holiday and is celebrated by flying kites and kite fighting. Generally men do the Kite Fighting while women hold the string or manja in a coil.

Yes today is the day we can sit and watch the sky
Yes today is the day when we can fly
fly – even if it means in my heart
fly – even if only you can see it..

Do you think the wind feels a bit different?
Do you think the sun’s a bit pale?
Is the blue of brighter than the other days?
Or am I feeling different?
